"You don’t act like a normal black person, you know"
Growing up, I cannot stress how much I have had people say the exact same thing to me. My skin color does NOT, WILL NOT, dictate how I act as a human being.
In addition, when I was younger, because I am mixed race, when people ask “what are you?”, it made me felt like I was an alien that needed to be experimented on. People do not need to know our genes, we wear them just fine.
I embrace who I am.

Stoners, if you have earth and space courses offered in your school, take it. So visually appealing and interesting.

Some things I’ve learned in the CBT clinics I’ve been going to regarding anxiety that I thought might be helpful to some.
fun little thing to tack on: triggers ARE NOT things that make you uncomfortable or uneasy, they are material that lead to visceral reactions/flash backs/panic attacks due to previous traumas
they aren’t even phobias
they are related to ptsd, not general discomfort or fear
adding to the comment about triggers because it’s unfair to say that triggers aren’t phobias. i have necrophobia, and seeing dead bodies 100% of the time will trigger a panic attack. but triggers aren’t always phobias, and are more often related to ptsd. just, as a rule, be kind and accomodating to people who ask you to tag a certain trigger warning - there’s a legitimate reason they asked, and that needs to be respected.
This is all on my upcoming final
